People

We aim to build a workplace that’s safe, inclusive, and attracts top talent.

At Premier Retail, we’re proud of the role we all play in building a team environment that fosters engagement, so everyone can bring their whole selves to work.

Our work program that underpins our people strategy has a particular focus on:

  • team member wellbeing & engagement;
  • diversity, equality & inclusion; and
  • health & safety.

Team Member Wellbeing & Engagement

Premier Retail’s culture framework connects individual achievements with company goals and values. Having a clear purpose enables our people to realise their full potential in their careers.

We have zero tolerance for discrimination, bullying, harassment, vilification and victimisation in the workplace. No one should feel unsafe at work.

Team members can provide feedback through our People Support Advisory line and we also conduct focus groups to help us further improve engagement and work practices.

Employee Assistance Program

We offer all team members access to an employee assistance program that provides confidential psychological, social and financial counselling services to support them through difficult or challenging life events.

Training and Development

We support team members to continue to develop their careers through ongoing learning and development opportunities, which includes a comprehensive induction program, training, tools and regular development discussions.

Reward and Recognition

Celebrating our achievements is a big part of who we are.

We recognise and reward individual and team achievement through our bi-annual Brand retail conferences, and our bonus and incentive programs.

Diversity, Equality & Inclusion

There’s no place for discrimination in the workplace.

We take pride in the career opportunities we provide to our people at Premier Retail. We strive to promote diversity and inclusion by actively learning from and engaging with our team.

Health & Safety

Ensuring a safe environment for everyone is a priority for us. Our teams are trained to monitor, assess, prevent, record and mitigate risks using our health and safety programs. We closely monitor key safety metrics, including Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR – the number of Lost Time Injuries per million hours worked) and Lost Time Injuries (LTI), to maintain our focus on continually improving our safety performance.

Our focus revolves around the following four strategic pillars.
